Paying by
Personal Check or Money Order -
USA ONLY
- Shop as usual - then on Checkout - where you enter your
address, etc.
Choose the pay by mail in Check option. Submit your
order as usual.
We will receive your order - place it in file - pending arrival of your check or
money order.
A note with a some basic order information mailed with the check is always
welcome.
Many customers place orders this way.
Print or make note of the order date & order
number - should a problem arise.
We
DO NOT accept CHECKS or MONEY ORDERS from outside the USA
Credit Card or PayPal payments
only.
How to Pay for Special Shipping Charges
A lot of words here -
although it's actually very simple.
Currently - there is no safe and simple way of allowing customers
to submit additional charges for special shipping through an entry box.
This would be a security risk and a source of problems. Unnecessary and/or incorrect amounts
would often be entered - which would add work and confusion.
Once the needed amount is established & confirmed, especially related to
UPS Overnight
and Outside US shipping, we notify customers of the needed charge, then add it
to the credit card used with the order, or request a PayPal submit - if used.
Usually, email or phone communication is required for confirmation & acceptance
of charges.
We cannot 'assume' customers will accept added charges.
If we are given an OK in the 'notes section' of an order - we'll
usually go ahead without requiring further confirmation.
Regardless of how often it is stressed, many are quite ALARMED when they
discover the expense of expedited shipping - especially 1 or 2 day.
In short: We will add the needed charge ourselves or arrange for you to pay if using PayPal.
We most always need some form of communication with you for approval of the
extra charges.
OUR SHOPPING CART SYSTEM
Shopping on our pages is achieved by an extremely secure program provided by
Americart Inc.
We pay for this special service which is server based in Winston Salem, NC -
USA.
When you click on any 'Add to Cart' button on our shopping
pages, you're causing order information
to be sent and stored in our specific shopping cart system on the 'Americart'
Secure Server.
The cart system sets a temporary code for you as a visitor and shopper
until you finalize your order and/or leave our website.
When - and only when - you complete the order by filling
out the very last page of the check out form
where your address, etc. is entered, and then - submit, is the
order finalized and sent to us via email.
Credit card information IS NOT
sent via email.
We access a SSL secure site on the
Americart server using secure codes to retrieve credit card info.
Credit card authorization and processing is done by
Authorize.net - one of the worlds largest credit card processing companies.
On occasion - ( refunds, adjustments, call in orders, etc. ) we use a manual
merchant account system provided by Branch Banking & Trust.
'BB&T' is a
very large banking corporation found throughout the eastern part of the US.
RETURN
POLICY
Our basic view is: We goof - ( and we do ) -
we pay. You goof - you pay.
We reserve the right to be flexible in any regard.
We're not out to 'punish' anyone for human error - just
safeguard against excessive losses.
Any item/s may be returned within 60 days.
There is a 10% restock fee of the charged price.
Considerations will be made as to rebating return shipping costs -
primarily based on the reason for the return. Experience indicates that
some items are returned simply because customers have not paid attention to
clearly noted information on the web site shopping pages for the item/s
involved. We do not refund return shipping costs in such cases.
